French Village woven tapestry features the work of artist Erin Dertmer. This charming tapestry sets a scene in a quiet village in France. We see a slowly moving river down the center with two wrought iron bridges crossing over from left to right. The concrete walls on either side of the river are adorned with potted roses and trees lining the street on both sides. In the background we see red-roofed shops with striped awnings. Born in 1957 and a native Californian as well as a mother of two sons, Dertmer attributes her love of travel as the inspiration of her work. Her usual medium is watercolor but is now venturing into oil painting as well.
