The Somerset collection consists of over twenty bedroom, dining, and occasional pieces which are constructed of Teka, hackberry, birch, and other select hardwoods. Somerset’s rich and beautiful color is the result of a fourteen step finishing process. This process involves intensive hand and machine sanding, protective coatings and inspection processes to ensure a quality piece of furniture that will last for generations. The scale of Somerset’s collection, along with its unique lines, makes this a must have for today’s lifestyle!

Somerset Bedroom

One has three choices of beds to choose from in this group. They are a garden bed, sleigh bed, and a spindle bed. The garden bed features a beautiful antiqued metal finish, while the sleigh bed features raised panels and turned feet. The chests in this group offer a variety of options. All come with beautiful crown molding and large post feet to provide stability. The door chest has six drawers, one door, and two adjustable shelves. The chest in this group is complimented by a 1 ¼” deep beveled landscape mirror. The armoire in this group provides dual functions. It has four drawers, two wrap around doors for TV viewing from any angle, two adjustable shelves, two partitions, and a slide out back panel.

Somerset Dining

The display china is not only striking to look at when entering a room, it also provides multiple function as well. It has two shelves for display of your china as well as three drawers and a wine storage compartment. This piece is complemented by the beautiful leg table featuring large turned posts and room for accommodating arm chairs beneath it. The chairs in this group feature slatted backs and a performance fabric on the seats that allow for comfort and easy clean up. The neutral color of the chairs fabric helps to bring out this group’s beautiful espresso finish as well. The stretchers on the chair add extra stability. This group also features a counter height dining table with tall chairs in wood or upholstered bi-cast leather. One can also add the bi-cast leather side chair as well.

Somerset Occasional

The assortment of tables in this group also features the same beautiful turned posts and large feet as well. The storage cocktail table in this group has two drawers and hidden file storage under top to provide plenty of storage. One can choose from the multi-function entertainment consoles to show off their TV as well. These consoles feature two doors, four adjustable shelves, adjustable levelers, pullout media storage trays, cable ready electrical outlet, and cord exits.

Floating Tops: This type of construction is incorporated into every Kincaid product to allow expansion and contraction of the solid wood components as the humidity changes in your home.

Mortise and Tenon Joints: Kincaid’s case construction features mortise and tenon joinery, Tenon Joints a time proven method of assembling two parts at a 90 degree angle.

Drawer Guides: A wood-on-wood non-tilting, dovetailed drawer guide is used in the installation of all Kincaid drawers.

Solid Wood Edges: Shaped edges are constructed of solid wood, unlike many manufacturers who use banded veneers, to provide premium quality and durability.

Adjustable Glides: Adjustable glides are provided on all units for leveling doors and on select units for a center support.

Floating Panels: Raised panel doors and bed panels utilize a floating, self-centering construction technique.

Finger Joints: All Kincaid solid wood chairs are crafted using a glue and screw technique across a finger jointed corner, adding strength to the chair while minimizing flex across the joint.

Front Posts: Where the design allows, heavy front posts are used for additional case stability and strength.
