The Bob Mackie Home Classics Collection introduces a pleasantly fresh twist to traditional styling with its soft, antique bleached mahogany look. The unique mahogany, primavera and walnut veneer inlays, lavish rope and tassel carvings and a creative use of leather with an embossed crocodile pattern combine to produce a treasure chest of choice and mix and match options.
An oval motif is emblazoned on an entertainment cabinet, armoire and sideboard with the matched mahogany plumes creating a starburst effect. Leather with a crocodile pattern is used on several pieces, adding sumptuous texture that is extremely inviting. Traditional Style with a Transitional twist

Mission:

To take a very traditional style and create a soft elegance incorporating a unique mixture of materials. The goal was to design the pieces in a lighter scale, telling a veneer & finish story, not creating another massive, carved look. The finish is critical to this collection and very unique at the price point. The only way to accomplish the lighter mahogany finish is to bleach the mahogany; this procedure allows the strong figure of the crotch to clearly be brought to life in the finishing rocess.

Ebony and holly veneer inlays separating the crotch and primavera veneer borders

Custom designed braided rope inlay veneer pattern, combining walnut, mahogany and primavera veneers, each individual piece of the braided inlay is hand burnished to give a 3 dimensional effect.
